We are a small group of local people, who care about human rights.

The Basildon group was set up in May 2001, one of 300 local groups in the UK which contribute to Amnesty International's work to defend human rights around the world.

We meet on a monthly basis in Basildon on the second Wednesday of the month - see dates on the 'Diary of Events' page..

The more members and support we have, the more we can do. 

You can choose how involved you become - see 'How you can help' . 

You do not have to be a member of Amnesty International UK to join our group and there is no membership fee to pay.
